When is the anticipated delivery/start date of this project? VA Response: September 19, 2022 2. Are the two site locations listed already set up to receive a mobile unit with power and data connections? VA Response: Yes, both sites have a pad that includes power and data. 3. Please confirm that this solicitation is for the equipment lease only and no staffing is requested, the VA will be providing the technologist to operate the equipment. VA Response: This solicitation is for equipment only. 4. In your SOW, no mention is made concerning applications training for your MRI Technologists. Will you require applications training? Do you require any application training for the VA technologist?  VA Response: Applications training is not needed. A support line is needed during operating hours. 5. Does your facility already own a GE Voyager? VA Response: No. We have a GE Artist, 70 bore scanner. 6. If a Mobile GE Voyager is not available, will you consider a Mobile Siemens Aera? VA Response: No. 7. Will you consider a Mobile GE Signa HDxt 23X/16 Channel 60cm bore MRI? VA Response: No. VASD needs a unit that will accommodate its patients and provide comparable imaging to what is currently in operation, 70 cm bore. 8. Please clarify the statements concerning hard disk removal or wiping of patient information and leaving operating software on the hard drives. The cost to remove the hard drives is different than the cost to scrub patient data. Unless we receive concrete instructions, we have no choice but to include hard drive removal cost in our bid as that incurs the highest cost. VA Response: VASD requires the hard drives be removed from the device and physically surrendered to VASD at the end of the contract. VASD will scrub/sanitize the hard drives according to the requirements at that time stated in VA Handbook 6500.1. 9. Our trailers come in 8.5 X 48 , is this acceptable? VA Response: No, a minimum 10 wide trailer is required. 10. Is 102"" wide by 53' long acceptable?  VA Response: No, a minimum 10 wide trailer is required. 11. We don t offer a Patient Digital Video and Audio Entertainment System that requires another entrance point to the shielding of the MRI system. If you know of an alternative that doesn t require penetration of the shielding, we would be interested. If not, is this Patient Entertainment System necessary? VA Response: A patient entertainment system is required. 12. The scope of work references the need for the mobile unit to be moved, how often and how far will the mobile need to be moved? VA Response: The offered price should include initial delivery, installation/implementation, set-up, disconnect and removal (schedule item 0002). Additional moves will be addressed through a contract a modification. The distance of the move if required would be approximately 34 miles one way. 13. Is the VA providing contrast reaction medication kit?  VA Response: No. Under IAW SOW para 4, Task 1. o. Mobile MRI unit will have an emergency contrast reaction medication kit.
