Description
AMENDMENT 2: The purpose of Amendment 2 is to provide additional Questions and Answers as follows: Q11. Is it possible to modify the optical table with a hole in for the cryostat / sample region to protrude through? A11. yes Q12. If not, we would add a plate bolted onto the edge of the optical table and the cryostat would bolt to this plate from underneath. Is this acceptable? A12. this is acceptable if it does not compromise the vibration specifications. Q13. The base of the cryostat would also need to be bolted firmly to the floor for low vibration. Is this OK. A13. yes Q14. How many optical windows and what material are required? A14. 1 window, material is not critical NO OTHER CHANGES ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ AMENDMENT 1: The purpose of Amendment 1 is to provide an extension to the quotation due date to August 15, 2022 as provided in this posting and provide Questions and Answers as follows: Q1. Is an optical table required as part of this bid? Or will it mount onto an existing optical table? A1. No an optical table is not required, it will mount onto an existing table. Q2. Is any optical access required? Wither windows or Optical fibres? A2. Optical access is required, windows are preferred. Q3. Is there any dimensions available for the HTS leads? A3. Approximately 5mm wide HTS ribbon or arbitrary length. Q4. How will the vibrations be tested? By LASER interferometer or by experiment? Are there any frequencies that are particularly critical for damping? A4. Laser interferometry. Q5. Is a support frame over the optical table preferred or a a cryostat that mounts from underneath the optical table? A5. A cryostat that mounts from underneath is preferred. Q6. Is there a preference for the coax cable to be used? UT85 SS/SS, UT47 BeCu, UT47 CuNi for example? A6. SS/SS or BeCu are ok, UT47 is preferred, CuNi is not acceptable. Q7. Is mounting required for the positioners? If so then is data available for the size / mounting holes? A7. Mounting holes will be required, detailed specifications are flexible and can be supplied later. Q8. Is an inverted sample space acceptable? Or a platform that hangs below the cryostat? A8. Non-inverted sample space is preferred. Q9. Is a higher cooling power useful? >130mW @ 4.2K A9. Higher cooling power is useful. Q10. Is a lower base temperature (I.E < 1.8K) useful? A10. A lower base temperature is useful. NO OTHER CHANGES ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Please see the attached RFQ and associated documents to respond to this RFQ.
