Description
Provide an upgraded Telemetry Relay System for the E-9A aircraft which is a derivative of the DeHavilland Aircraft Corp of Canada Dash-8 Model 102 aircraft. The E-9A is a fixed-wing, T-tail, pressurized, twin turboprop engine aircraft, powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW121 engines. Fleet size is two aircraft, both stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base (AFB), Florida. The primary mission is to provide sea surveillance data that is used to help identify a clear area in the test range. Secondary missions include; recording & relaying telemetry data, relaying UHF radio communications, search and rescue, and supporting aircrew movements during weather evacuations. The contractor is required to integrate, test, certify, and install a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) upgrade to the existing Telemetry Relay System (TMRS) into the E-9A aircraft. The TMRS upgrade will need to replace the current TMRS components and adhere to the requirements identified in the E-9A TMRS Requirements Document (SRD).The Contractor shall provide a technical data package for updating the associated technical data and to support the operations and maintenance of TMRS in the air vehicle. The effort will cover the program through testing and includes all certifications needed to field a production program. It also includes all data and information required to accomplish mission crew and maintenance training required to operate and maintain the TMRS The following systems are used to accomplish these missions. Sea Surveillance Radar (SSR) Subsystem Telemetry Relay System (TMRS) Data Link System (DLS) UHF Relay System
