Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF MIDAC FTIR SPECTROMETERS This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b) (1). The US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-01085; has a requirement to procure the following service: The U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center requires preventative maintenance and repair support of twenty seven (27) Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Spectrometer systems, including system subcomponents. Hardware is to be replaced on an �as-needed� basis. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Midac Corporation, 6 Coleman Ave Westfield, MA, 01085. Midac Corporation is the previous contract holder and due to the continued need for the maintenance and support services for the mission essential routine preventive maintenance and as-needed repair of the FTIR Spectrometers. These services have been deemed mission critical.
