Description

The Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs (ICE) Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ) Irving, TX 75063 is issuing this special notice to inform industry of the intent to execute a single source award as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(i) to Keyence Corporation of America, 669 River Drive, Elmwood Park, NJ 07407. Prior to awarding, market research was conducted and concluded the requirement to acquire a digital microscope as a sole source contract is in the best interests to the Government because the digital microscope needed is not available from any other contractor. In accordance with FAR Part 13, specifically Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), there is only one (1) responsible source, and no other digital microscope will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13. The place of performance is as follows: 8000 Westpark Drive Mclean, VA 22102. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 334413. The Small Business Administration size standard for this sector size standards in number of employees is 1,250. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement and supporting documentation to the contracting office no later than Friday, August 12, 2022, 9:00 AM, EDT. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
