- Description
- Questions to RFQ 36C25622Q1097 Is there an incumbent contractor currently performing these services? If so, what is the name of the incumbent vendor? There is not an incumbent performing these services. This is a new contract. These services were previously done using the Government Purchase Card, as needed. I understand that this solicitation was recently awarded to the incumbent vendor approximately on January 7, 2022. Why is this same contract back up for bidding so soon? This is a different solicitation. This requirement is for off-site surgical instrument repairs only. The contract you are referencing is for on-site surgical instrument repairs. While reviewing the RFQ for this solicitation, there wasn't any attachments showing the instruments inventory. Can you please provide the inventory of the instruments that are covered under this contractual obligation? The Statement of Work within the RFQ, Section B.3, Reusable Medical Equipment (RME) states the instruments and devices to be services and/or repaired. How many completed instrument trays per week total are expected in terms of volume for this contract? No instrument trays (zero). This is not on-site work. Does the contract include endoscopes, power equipment, light sources, containers and hand pieces? Yes. What was the winning bid amount for this contract by the incumbent vendor? Not applicable. This is a new contract. Since this is for a non-personal service contract, will there be any expectation for the awarded vendor to be readily available to provide on-site, mobile instrument repairs and service at any time during this contract? The solicitation states contractor to provide weekly off-site preventive maintenance and repair services . Are there any case cart repairs and service included under this contract? No. Questions to RFQ 36C25622Q1097 (Cont d) Are there any steam sterilizer chamber cleanings included under this contract? No. From the previous solicitation there was a mention of the biomed sending out the endoscopes for repairs. Does this still remain to be the case now or will the endoscopes (flexible/rigid) be covered under the off-site repairs for this solicitation? The previous solicitation does not apply to this one. Page 15 states that this will be a BPA type contract but page 47 says a Firm Fixed Contract will be awarded to the offeror that represents the best value. Can you tell us which it would be? BPA or Firm Fixed? BPA statement is included in the SOW. BPA is firm fixed. Funds not utilized in the contract would go back to the VA. Do you have a complete list of items that would be covered under the contract? No. Equipment constantly changes as new equipment is purchased by other services in the facility and old equipment is turned in. Current and general RME is listed in the SOW. Do you know approximately how many repairs would be sent on a weekly/monthly basis (ex: 3ea flex scopes, 7 dental hp s 2 Stryker 6203-110 s etc.)? No, repairs are needed at random. Is there a contract in place currently? If so, what is the contract number and who is the incumbent? No, this is a new contract.
