- Description
- The purpose of this notification is to facilitate outreach activates between the Government, small business and non-traditional entities, and the Nebraska Defense Research Corporation (NDRC). NDRC, a not-for-profit unit of the University of Nebraska, was awarded a Partnership Intermediary Agreement (PIA) pursuant to 15 USC 3715 through the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, Combatant Command C2 Davisons Contracting Office (AFLCMC/HBCK). At a high level, NDRC as the Partnership Intermediary(PI) will perform services supporting the nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3) Enterprise Center (NEC) to: (a) increase the likelihood of success in the conduct of science and engineering activities; (b) facilitate the transfer and exchange of technology primarily with state and local governments, academia, industry, and other agencies; (c) promote collaboration with Industry, Academia, and Student Internships to build future Scientists and Engineers; and (d) provide a non-federal environment that will facilitate the informal movement of information, knowledge, and skills through person-to-person interaction. The objective of the PIA is to establish relationships to promote the conduct of cooperative, joint activities among NEC, NDRC, and primarily small business firms or institutions of higher education as defined in 20 U.S.C. 1001, or educational institutions within the meaning of 10 U.S.C. 2194, while stimulating and promoting technology development and the transfer of technology between NEC and academia, industry, and Federal laboratories in support of deterrence. These relationships will connect federal organizations with the private sector to advance technologies in support of the NC3 community; promote technology development, reduce delivery times, and minimize life cycle costs; connect the DoD to non-traditional vendors; improve design capabilities and user acceptance; and assess the manufacturability of innovative technologies. Under the PIA NDRC will work with mission partners and other organizations in this mission space to identify and demonstrate promising technologies that have the potential to solve Government operational challenges in different scenarios. A key element of this discovery process is providing opportunities for warfighters to get experience operating the capabilities in a relevant environment. NDRC is currently seeking companies with the potential to add innovative capabilities that align with demonstration priorities, including: Cloud-Based Conferencing Enhanced Situational Awareness Cybersecurity Multi-Level Security in the Cloud Companies interested in submitting a demonstration proposal for any of the topic areas above, or in becoming a mission partner of NDRC, should visit the links below for additional information.
