Description
The project consists of a base and one option. Project work involves maintenance dredging of the Kings Bay Entrance Channel Cut-1N through Range-E. The excavated material will be distributed among the Fernandina Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS)(D/A-O), the Fernandina Nearshore Disposal Area (D/A-N), the Fort Clinch Disposal Area (D/A-F) and the North Beach Disposal Area (D/A-NB). Incidental work includes turbidity monitoring, environmental species monitoring, vibration monitoring, beach fill quality control, and sea turtle trawling. Relocation trawling is to start at commencement of dredging and work continuously until the completion of dredging operations.�In the event multiple hopper dredges are utilized to execute the work,�one trawler for each hopper dredge is required. Option A includes project work consists of Fort Clinch pre-placement debris removal. This project requires the use of a Coast Guard Certified hopper dredge due the requirement of material being disposed of in an Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about July 13, 2022 and bids will be due on or about August 12, 2022 NAICS Code 237990 Dredging and Surface Cleanup Activities, size standard $32.5 million. Magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000. The Estimated Period of Performance is 180 calendar days for the base period and 5 calendar days for Option A which is to be performed concurrently with Base work after issuance of Notice to Proceed (NTP). The stated time is inclusive of 60 calendar days to commence work. THIS IS UNRESTRICTED.
