Description

This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price to purchase GAITRite Platinum Plus System 16�, with CIR SYSTEMS INC. �� The GAITRite is an objective measurement of gait which displays temporal/spatial parameters used to quantify gait parameters via an electronic walkway connected to the USB port of a personal computer.�� The electronic walkway contains several sensor pads that capture parameters of speed, cadence etc. while a subject is ambulating.� The unit is currently utilized in several research protocols, Traumatic brain injury/TBI (10-CC-0118), Giant Axonal Neuropathy/GAN (15-N-0073), and Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinoses/CLN3 research protocol (18-CH-0002). This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date, August 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Noelle DeCenzo, Contract Specialist, Noelle.decenzo@nih.gov by the due date and time marked in this notice.
