- West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction Project Sources Sought � Levee, Floodwall, Drainage Structures Construction DESCRIPTION:� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New Orleans District is seeking sources for a project entitled West Shore Lake Pontchartrain (WSLP), Hurricane and Storm Damage Reduction Project located in St. John the Baptist, St. Charles, and St. James Parishes, Louisiana. This information will be used to develop an acquisition plan for approximately 12 construction contracts to construct 18 miles of levees and floodwall, and 5 drainage structures. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction. This sources-sought announcement is a tool to identify small businesses with the capability to construct a variety of features that make up the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Project.� This is not a solicitation. Firms who respond to this announcement by submitting complete, accurate, and up-to-date capability information will allow the New Orleans District to determine if there are small businesses that can fulfill the requirements of the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Project. Please include the following information: A) Name of firm with address, phone, and point of contact. B) Statement of Capability (SOC) stating your skills, experience, knowledge, and equipment required to perform the specified type of work. The SOC should address the specific requirements for each feature in Appendix A for which the respondent desires to demonstrate a capability of work.� The three types of features are levees, floodwalls/structures, and Interstate/Low-clearance/Marine Floodwall construction. You are not required to respond to all three types of work. C) Fill out the summary spreadsheet in Appendix B. D) CAGE Code and DUNS number. Submit this information Margaret.C.Maine@usace.army.mil.� Your response to this notice must be received on or before 11:00A.M. on Friday, September 2, 2022.� Summary Scope of Work: The purpose of this solicitation is to determine potential construction sources that could be used for the WSLP Project. �Features of work include construction of 18 miles of levees, floodwalls, drainage structures featuring multiple 10�x10� actuated gates, and floodwalls located under raised portions of I-10 and I-55. The total levee construction is approximately 4,000,000 to 6,000,000 cubic yards of clay material. The construction contracts are currently scheduled to be awarded from the 4th quarter of 2022 through the 2nd quarter of 2023.� Construction for the WSLP project is scheduled to be complete by 2027. �Once the Sources Sought submittal period is over, the New Orleans District will use this capability information to develop an acquisition plan that supports our small business goals.
