- THIS REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A SOLICITATION. THE SUBMISSION OF PRICING, CAPABILITIES FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND OTHER MARKET INFORMATION IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED AND ALLOWED UNDER THIS RFI IN ACCORDANCE WITH (IAW) FAR 15.201(e). DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. IAW FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought/RFI only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 339112 (size standard 1,000). Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that can provide an Flexible Video Scopes that meets the following salient characteristics and specifications for VA New Mexico Healthcare System. Salient Characteristics/Specification The requested devices, through proprietary NBI (narrow band imaging technology), gives the ability to scope patients with high-definition video technology allowing physicians to identify abnormalities and areas of concern quickly during exams and can review images and videos after. Procedures will be viewed on a 26 HD monitor along with HD image and video capturing system. Viewing angles of 110 degrees with HD 1080p resolution and ability to continuously capture still images are required to ensure best visibility and images. NBI is a patented optical image technology that enhances the visibility of vessels and other tissue on the mucosal surface, by filtering out white light into specific wavelengths, which are absorbed by hemoglobin and penetrate only the surface of human tissue, These highlights areas of increased vascularity. All devices must be able to integrate with the current Olympus scopes, processors, towers, cameras, light cables already on station at the ABQ VA. This device must be able to properly utilize the HD Video processor capability. This device must include scopes that have the ability of several modes of zoom capability to enhance the size of images with minimal picture loss. All provided medical scopes shall be FDA approved. Scopes must have HD imaging for increased ability to detect abnormalities. Scopes must have SDI, DVI capable Video Image signals for optimized image transmission. Scope system must have the ability of virtual data management server compatibility to provide connectivity across the facility to allow any physician on the hospital network the ability to review patient exams from a secure PC/ Laptop computer as well as any video tower equipped with a high-definition image and video capture device. Scope System will have high-definition image and video capture device, complete with side-by-side comparison feature for patient and resident education, printing, and network compatibility.
