SOURCES SOUGHT DESCRIPTION 36C24922Q0607 This is NOT a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought/RFI only. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to NAICS 511210. Responses to this SS will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this SS, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this SS are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 9, is seeking sources that can provide license for an existing system: Computrition Hospitality Suite Client/Server Software Equipment Management Rail System Accessories for the VA Medical Center located in Louisville, Kentucky. Needed Items: VA MEDICAL CENTER LOUISVILLE KENTUCKY Description/Part Number* Qty FOM/NCM (Site + 5 NCM/1 FOM Pro Clients) 1 Multi-Site HL7 ADT/DO/Tube Feeding Interface 1 HS Single Sign-On Module 1 Weekend Application Support 1 Period of Performance: 11/1/2022-10/31/2023. The information identified above is intended to be descriptive, not restrictive and to indicate the quality of the supplies/services that will be satisfactory. It is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested parties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the required specifications. If you are interested and capable of providing the sought-out supplies/services, please provide the requested information as well as the information indicated below. (3) Are you the manufacturer or distributor of the items being referenced above (or equivalent product/solution)? What is the manufacturing country of origin of these items? (4) If you re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above (or equivalent product/solution), do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? If you do, state how and what is altered; assembled; modified? (5) Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA or the NAC or are you a contract holder with NASA SEWP or any other federal contract? If so, please provide the contract type and number. (8) Please submit your capabilities in regard to the salient characteristics (See Section 9 below) being provided and any information pertaining to equal to items to establish capabilities for planning purposes. *** Submissions addressing Section (8) should show clear, compelling and convincing*** evidence that all equal to items"" meet all required salient characteristics. (9) Salient Characteristics: The system shall allow for users to manage standardized ingredients, scalable recipes, and menus; automate ordering and inventory; and streamline production. Admission, discharge, transfer, and diet order information shall transfer, in real-time, from VISTA to the new system. It shall have a unidirectional interface enabling secure transfer of information from VISTA to the new system without the risk of overwriting data, security breaches or data corruption in the VISTA system. It is used for Menu planning, Inventory, Production Planning, Forecasting, Nutritional Analysis, Purchasing, Automated ordering. Refine Management, Cost controls, and Automated HACCP compliance. The system shall offer a tally sheet that can be used for production, plus patient-specific substitutions and date-specific nourishments. Perpetual inventory capability; tracking and history reports by day, week, month, year, vendor, storage location, or inventory group; All reports shall be filterable. Report settings shall provide the ability to filter the data. Report settings shall be able to be saved for future use. All reports will have the ability to be viewed on the screen, printed, or exported to a variety of other formats such as Excel, PDF, HTML, and Graphic. Inventory requirements based on forecasted items; Pre-cost and post-cost capabilities; Ability to define batch, pan or distribution size for production; Ability to transfer items between inventory locations, Ability to generate back-up purchase orders for re-order needs based on the on-hand inventory, on order goods, and committed products; Ability to calculate year to date information by product category; Integrated electronic ordering and confirmation and automated vendor price updates; Ability to have multiple menu types at the same time (Day Care, CLC, and possibly Room Service). In the event of a product recall, users shall be able to globally locate and change items within recipes and menus, either for a particular date range, or permanently. Must have the ability to link each recipe, as well as its respective ingredients, nutritional content and potential allergens and compare it to the nutritional assessment and diet order for each patient. The system shall block an allergen from being selected, even accidentally, when patients are making their menu selections, avoiding human error. Foods to which a patient is allergic shall never print on a tray ticket, kitchen ticket or a nourishment label. The system shall include the USDA s nutrient database of generic foods and the vendor supplied database including manufacturer, distributor, and branded item information. The system must allow the end user to add nutrient data for new ingredients as the new information becomes available instead of requiring the customer to wait for vendor-initiated updates. Nutrition Care Management: The system shall track patients' diet orders and diet order changes; monitor weight changes, identify patient s allergies, likes and dislikes, and demographic data; Allow for creation of patient specific meal patterns; produce on-demand menus and tray tickets; provide comprehensive nutrient analysis and calorie counts; manage food service recipes and menus; and automate HACCP compliance guidelines. The system shall track patient nutritional needs from admission to discharge. Some examples of resident-specific tracking functions: calorie counts reports and tray notes; Carbohydrate counting; tracks like, dislikes, and allergies; preferences, diet orders, including tube feeding management; Medical history, Automatic meal pattern assignment. The software must have automatic calculation of Basal Energy Expenditure, Body Mass Index and protein requirements; weight tracking and reporting; nutrition notes. The system shall allow for wireless services to be used for bedside data and menu entry VA Vista & Cerner Interface Capabilities: Admission, discharge, transfer, and diet order information shall transfer, in real-time, from VISTA to the new system. It shall have a unidirectional Interface enabling secure transfer of information from VISTA to the new system without the risk of overwriting data, security breaches or data corruption in the VISTA system.
