- Description
- Sole Source Intent: The United States Army, Mission Installation Contracting Command (MICC) Yuma Proving Ground, U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Yuma, Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Waygate Technologies LP C/O Baker Hughes 201 Beltway Green Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77503 USA. Pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). The Contracting Officer may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. This requirement is to perform maintenance of the CRxFlex Computed Radiography (CR) scanner as defined in this Performance Work Statement (PWS) Attachment 1. The CRxFlexII Computed Radiography scanner is used to provide radiographic imaging of the internal structure of test items at YPG. The images provide test personnel with data to determine the condition of test items before and after testing. Additionally, the system is used to provide images of the Safety and Arming devices of explosive items. Yuma Test Center requires on call factory support for both the hardware and software. YTC requires a contractor with the appropriate knowledge and understanding of this system and the software (Rhythm software applications, proprietary to Waygate) to service them regularly. Failure to contract Waygate Technologies for these services could result in test delays or unsatisfactory execution of the contract requirements. Therefore, Waygate Technologies LP C/O, (small business) is the only source capable of providing the maintenance. This requirement will be procured using the acquisition procedures in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 811219 with a size standard of $22 million. The resultant contract will contain an overall period of performance for three years with a base period of one year and two one-year option periods. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must conduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed requirement. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to meet these requirements, then you must respond by demonstrating your firm's technical capability to meet these requirements no later than 12:00 PM MST 18 August 2022 to facsimile (928) 328-6534.
