Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Illumina, Inc., 5200 Illumna Way, San Diego, CA� 92122-4616 because the sequencing platform used for this work is an Illumina MiSeq instrument which relies on Illumina MiSeq Reagent Kits to work. While other versions of these kits are available (i.e. v2), CDC�s protocol is specific to v3 technology.� Illumina is the only source of these kits and this brand is the only type compatible with CDC�s instruments.� CDC believes that Illumina, Inc. is the only responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This contract action is for a supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)� and 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 325413- �In-Vito Diagnostic Substance manufacturing�. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within fifteen (15) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.� Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� Any quotation/response must be emailed to contract specialist Alverta Lopez at qvb0@cdc.gov by 5:00PM, August 30, 2022.� The Contracting Specialist will not respond to verbal request. All requests must be in writing.�
