- Description
- Tognini Mountains Lop and Scatter BLM Nevada State Office 140L3922R0026 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Ely District Office has a requirement for tree thinning (Lop and Scatter) treatment. The treatment of a minimum of 2,248 acres up to a maximum of 4,887 acres of single-leaf pinyon pine (Pinus monophylla) and Utah juniper (Juniperus osteosperma) is required. The first phase will be the lop and scatter of all trees within the treatment units. The second phase will consist of quality control cutting to ensure all living stems are completely severed. Trees to be cut are pinyon and juniper. Leave areas and boundaries may be altered prior to implementation of the project to mitigate sensitive resource concerns that may reduce the acreage. The purpose of the project is to improve the overall health of sagebrush and woodland ecological sites, modify fuel loading to reduce the risk and severity of wildfire, and to improve wildlife habitat and other watershed values. The BLM intends to issue a solicitation as a Small Business Set Aside, The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 115310, Support Activities for Forestry, Fuels Management Service and the size standard is $20.5M. A Request for Proposal (RFP) solicitation package will be available electronically on or about August 23, 2022, through the Government Point of Entry (GPE) website located at ww.sam.gov. Proposals will be due no later than September 7, 2022. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring www.sam.gov for the release of the solicitation package, for any other pertinent information, and for downloading a complete copy of the solicitation package. The government will not provide paper copies of the solicitation. To be eligible for contract award, offerors must be registered, and currently active, and complete the online Representations and Certification in the System for Award Management (SAM) data base via website: http://www.sam.gov. Award will be based on Best Value, Trade Off process in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low offeror(s). This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract, nor does it obligate the government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. The primary Point of Contact is Tyler L.
