- This is an amendment to a previously synopsized Request for Quotations (RFQ) for the National Park Service, Olympic National Park, for painting the interior of two office Suites: Cultural Resources and Animal House, located in the Headquarters Campus at 600 East Park Avenue, Port Angeles, WA 98362. This Amendment no. 02 is to announce that the response date. Quotes are due by 5pm PDT on Friday, August 19, 2022 instead of being due by 5pm on August 15, 2022. This change is necessary to allow for a question posed on 8/15/22 to be properly addressed as it will require revising the Terms/Provisions/Clauses and Statement of Work documents. Quoters shall be sure to acknowledge all amendments in their quote by filling in the amendment numbers in box 19 on the SF-1442. Amendment 02 is exending the response date. Amendment 03 will replace Attachments 2 and 5 with revised versions as Attachments 7 and 8. PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED and telephone requests, email requests, or fax requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. The full solicitation package (Standard Form 1442 and all associated attachments) is available in SAM.gov at https://sam.gov/content/home. Search contract opportunities by entering solicitation number is 140P8322Q0055. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE. Painting is anticipated to occur September 2022 after the Labor Day holiday or possibly early to mid-October 2022, as coordinated/scheduled with NPS. The two office suites (Cultural Resources and Animal House) will also be receiving new flooring under a separate solicitation/contract, and the work sequence will be painting first, then flooring. Coordination between the Contractor and NPS will be critical to time when NPS will remove all freestanding furniture from the offices prior to painting, and to minimize disruption of the employee work environment during painting and leaving the office ready for receiving flooring after painting. The pre-construction meeting will be scheduled within a few weeks from award. Onsite work can begin once the pre-construction meeting has occurred, all submittals have been approved and products ordered and delivered, Contractor�s liability insurance certificate is received, and the Contracting Officer has issued the Notice to Proceed letter. The Notice to Proceed letter will state the actual agreed upon period of performance start and end dates which will be a 30-day period. OTHER INFO. This project is being solicited and awarded as a total (100%) Small Business set-aside. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 238320, Painting and Wall Covering Contractors with an associated small business size standard of $16.5 million. The magnitude of construction for this project is less than $25,000. A single firm-fixed price construction contract will be awarded as a result of the solicitation. To ensure questions are adequately addressed and appropriate action taken prior to submission of quote, questions must be received no later than 12 pm PDT on August 18, 2022.
