Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12405B22Q0404 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 334516 � Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing This solicitation document incorporates those provision and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06.� Any quotes not meeting the minimum specifications will not be considered.� Quotes are due: 12 p.m.(noon) central standard time, August 18, 2022 UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE SHRS SPECIFICATIONS Flaming/Brown Pipette Puller 1. Introduction: Scientists at the SHRS are using single sensillum (SSR) and electroantennogram (EAG) tools to probe the olfactory organs of invasive insect pests. The goal of these experiments is to identify odors that are detected by these insects that can then be exploited to produce synthetic, attractive, lures to monitor their populations. There is a critical need for very precise glass electrodes in order to achieve these research goals. 2. Scope: The Contractor shall provide the flaming/brown pipette puller, as described. 3. Technical Requirements: Flaming/brown pipette puller. Specifications: A flaming micropipette puller with 115/230 V and 50/60 Hz constant current power supply for the pull solenoid with the ability to produce glass electrodes with tip diameters of less than 0.1 ?m. Further, this pipette puller must have a pressure control and self-contained filtration system for safety purposes. The instrument must be delivered to USDA/ARS/SHRS; Miami, FL and delivered and installed in Laboratory 201, Building 89. Delivery and installation will need to coordinate with SHRS personnel, normal hours of 9:00am -4:00pm Monday-Friday are anticipated. No deliveries are accepted 12:00pm � 1pm, when the main office is closed for lunch. 4. Place of performance: USDA/ARS/SHRS 13601 Old Cutler Road, Bldg 89, Lab 201, Miami, FL 33158 5. Point of Contact: 1) Access to the facility during normal business operations (Monday through Friday, 9am to 12pm and 1pm to 4pm) 2) Loading dock, elevator 6. Destination), technical and past performance are more important than price. Award will be made based low price, technically acceptable. The government anticipates award of a firm fixed priced contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the specifications that will be the most advantageous to the government in accordance with FAR 13.106-2. Responses shall include technical specifications, descriptive material, and capabilities of the offeror�s equipment. Offerors shall identity where the offered item meets or does not meet each of the Government's functional and performance minimum specifications listed herein.
