- Description
- RapidAITM Perfusion software SOW (April '22 cdf) Page 2 of 2 STATEMENT OF WORK RapidAITM Perfusion Software GENERAL: James A. Haley Veterans Hospital (JAHVH), Radiology Department, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, has a requirement for a highly specialized software package to aid Radiologists in making faster, more accurate diagnostic and treatment decisions for stroke patients. BACKGROUND: Implementation of fast treatment/interventions is imperative for the improvement and maximization of positive outcomes for stroke victims. The use of RapidAITM software with MRI and/or CT imaging has been clinically proven to help physicians assess salvageable brain tissue, quickly identify large vessel occlusions, support faster clinical decision making and is the only clinically validated software with an FDA indication to aid in the selection of patients for acute stroke therapy. These capabilities have the potential to improve the care provided to veterans, reduce stroke related costs, and drive better clinical outcomes PURPOSE: Rapid AITM software implementation will allow JAHVH Radiologists to accurately assess stroke patients within minutes of scan acquisition, saving critical and valuable time, to afford the care team the maximum opportunity to propose and conduct treatment options best suited for each patient's optimal outcome. SCOPE: JAHVH is requesting the vendor furnish brand name Rapid AITM software (Perfusion/CTA(LVO)/ICHI/ASPECTS) for an unlimited number of scanners located within the JAHVA healthcare system to include JAHVA hospital, South Hillsborough, New Port Richey and future Lakeland locations with installation and integration of software with existing scanners, and Philips Intellispace (PACS). Access to regular product updates and improvements during the contract period of performance including any option years purchased. Training for Radiologist end users of the software at implementation and ongoing. SOFTWARE FUNCTIONAL AND PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Must identify suspected intracranial hemorrhage in NCCT scans within 3 minutes with a sensitivity of 95% and a specificity of 94% (excluding hemorrhagic transformations). Neuro Imaging Software must have shown improved reader diagnoses under FDA's CADx classification. Must produce ASPECT score within minutes of receipt of scan. Must identify regions of asymmetry using machine learning techniques. Must automatically generate measurements of ischemic change. Must identify asymmetries in blood vessel density. Be capable of removing bone and non-vascular tissue for clear viewing of cerebral blood vessels on MIP images Be capable of creating 3D vascular reconstructions that can be automatically or manually rotated. Must identify suspected LVOs with a sensitivity of 97% and a specificity of 96%. Be clinically validated software with an FDA indication to aid in the selection of patients for acute stroke therapy. Capable of comparison of patient's cerebral blood flow to Tmax. Capable of identifying areas of hypodensity. Capable of identifying milder or more sever delays of contract arrival time. Have customizable modeling of different thresholds for blood flow reductions. Have flexible cerebral blood volume modeling. Have co-registered views of the baseline CT perfusion scan, CBV, CBF, mean transit time (MTT) and Tmax. Have graphs showing translational and rotational movement on the X, Y, and Z axis. The ability to demonstrate the Arterial input (AIF) and venous output (VOF) curve. TRAINING: Training for end users to include live and online training for fast onboarding and product adoption. Additionally, the vendor will provide access to a comprehensive curriculum package of role-based courses specific to the software package. SOFTWARE LICENSE: The arrangement between James A. Haley VA and the vendor for access to the RapidAITM software package referenced above is a Software Subscription Agreement which is renewable annually. DELIVERY SCHEDULE: Software to be installed by the vendor at JAHVA in the Radiology service on computer equipment (server) already deployed within the radiology medical LAN i.e. no hardware to be provided with this acquisition. PLACE OF DELIVERY AND PERFORMANCE: Radiology Department, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Radiology Department, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612. Prepared by: Carole Faucher R.T.
