- The Department of Energy, Energy Information Administration (EIA), intends to issue a firm fixed price sole source award utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures for Certain Commercial Products to Intelligence Press, Inc. (IPI), publisher of the Natural Gas Intelligence (NGI) family of newsletters.� NGI is a leading provider of news and physical market pricing information for the deregulated North American natural gas industry.� EIA maintains a subscription to NGI to review, analyze, and report on natural gas information, and for the timely collection and analysis of energy data.� This notice of intent is for information purposes only. All sources eligible to meet this requirement must respond in writing. Responses must be supported with strong and convincing evidence that clearly articulate the company�s ability to satisfy this requirement as outlined above. A request for documentation will not be considered as an affirmative response. If no responses that demonstrate comparable capability are received within fifteen (15) calendar days after publication of this notice, then a sole source acquisition award will be made.
