Description
Vendor Questions/Government Responses Vendor Question: Do you have any specs or prints for the above anchor solicitation? Government Response: see below (NO Blueprints available) Testing Prescriptions: The technician utilizes a force implementation system to place benchmark loads on designated equipment for a period of two minutes. A test is considered successful if the unit remains elastic through the course of the test without showing excessive deflection. Fall arrest anchorage testing procedure: The technician placed a calibrated digital Hydrajaws with a chain ratchet, inline between the 2 anchorage points and applied a 11.2 kN (2,500 lbs) load, pulling the anchorages toward one another for duration of 2 minutes. Deflection and yield were measured and recorded. Test Limitations: The test results and data analysis expressed herein is not a warranty that the components tested are necessarily defect-free. RTA takes no responsibility for and makes no claims or opinions with respect to any latent or concealed defects or other defects which may be visible, but which may exist prior to or as of the date of the test. Equipment inspection: The technician conducted a visual inspection of exposed, visible, and accessible components for any obvious signs of wear, loose or damaged mountings, scarring, cracking, rust, damage, bending, distortion, or corrosion. They additionally reviewed any equipment label, tags, signage or user instructions made available to them. Comments: 1. Anchorages are tested to 2,500 lbs./11.2 kN for a 5,000 lbs. ultimate load.
