Description

NF-FN7110-22-02649AAG ***The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Southeast Fisheries Science Center (SEFSC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), platinum level preventative maintenance service agreements to Bruker Scientific, LLC, the sole service maintenance provider for the �Bruker Multi-Purpose Analyzer (MPA II) FT-NIR spectrometer (Equipment #, 12856051; Serial #: 200650) and a Bruker TANGO-R FT-NIR spectrometer (Equipment #:� 12822418; Serial #:� 1950).� ***The sole source determination is based on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration�s (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Services requirement for the preventative maintenance service contract for this highly specialized equipment manufactured by Bruker Scientific LLC.� The Bruker Multi- purpose analyzer (MPA ll) FT-NIR spectrometer and Bruker Tango-R FT�NIR spectrometer. No other vendor is authorized to perform maintenance on this equipment and Bruker Scientific LLC is the only service provider with technicians certified to perform the required maintenance service.� Warranty and/or service contract coverage is void if any services to hardware or software are performed by any other service provider. The period of performance is one day after date of award through 12 months with 4 option years. ***The Government intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract.� This Special Notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation package is available.� However, firms that believe they can fully meet the Government's requirements may submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact within 15 days after publication of this synopsis. Such documentation will be evaluated solely for determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.� Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is the Government's belief that only Bruker Scientific, LLC, has the sole capability of providing the requirement stated above. Attachments: Single Source
