- Xeos Tech Brand Apollo Mono Iridium/LED Underwater Beacon This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a total small business set aside. The associated NAICS code is 334519.� The small business size standard is 500 employees. The NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) uses underwater acoustic recorders to record ocean noise and marine animal vocalizations and sounds for the purposes of monitoring their distribution, abundance and/or acoustic behavior, per attached Statement of Need. This is a new requirement, no incumbent. See attached Statement of Need for full list of requirements. No formal quote form is provided. Quotes are required to be received in the contracting office no later than 4:00 P.M. MST on 08/25/2022. All quotes must be submitted via emailed to the attention of Casey Morris at casey.morris@Noaa.gov.� BRAND NAME REQUIREMENT:��Xeos is an international leader in the production of devices for underwater asset tracking; they have been a leader in developing this technology for nearly 20 years. Their Apollo Mono beacon is suitable for extended underwater deployments at depth, utilizing a highly accurate Iridium location system that will provide a means for accurate geolocation of acoustic moorings when at the ocean�s surface. The purchase of the beacons is part of a multi-year, international collaborative acoustic recording effort, where Apollo units are already being used for this purpose. Consistency in data collection and reliability in operation is essential for the success of this project.� THE GOVENRMENT DOES NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR NON-RECEIPT OF QUOTES. IT IS THE CONTRACTOR�S RESPONSIBILITY TO REQUEST A CONFIRMATION OF THE QUOTE RECEIPT. REPS AND CERTS ARE REQUIRED TO BE UPDATED IN SAM PER 52.204-26. 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE, FIRM FIXED PRICE, PURCHASE ORDER TO BE AWARDED TO THE LOW PRICED/TECHNICALLY ACCEPTED QUOTE TO THE GOVERNMENT PER FAR 52.212-2.
