Description

This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.203(a) in response to the mandatory requirement for a 15 day notification. The purpose of this synopsis is to announce the Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Huachuca Division intent to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) sole source contract for a period not to exceed 12 months utilizing the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) by 28 September 2022 with University of Arizona Applied Research Corporation (UA-ARC), located at 845� North Park Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85719-4871 for the purpose of providing interactive capabilities (Artificial Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR) /Mixed Xreality MX) for US Army Intelligence Soldiers and professionals who are not able to conduct research and training requirements at Fort Huachuca.� AR/VR/MX solutions will provide the ability to virtually navigate individual and team training requirements in a 3D environment from any designated location. ����� The Government intends to negotiate solely with University of Arizona Applied Research Corporation (UA-ARC), 41 U.S.C. � 3304(a)(3) as implemented in FAR 6.302-3(a)(2)(ii), �will provide the ability to virtually navigate individual and team training requirements in a 3D environment from any designated location.� UA-ARC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit academic organization of higher learning with the unique capability to bring both globally-recognized technical SMEs as well as internal and external partners across federal, private, and non-profit sectors together to participate in the study of highly complex problem sets for the purpose of analysis, research, advanced problem solving, and solution crafting. They also possesses the necessary facility clearance to support the requirements. ����� For this acquisition the Government has identified Product Service Code R412 (Support � Professional Simulation) with the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) of 541519 (Other Computer Related Services) at $30M standard. ����� A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of market research. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response.
