The New York District Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this Firm Fixed Price Request For Proposal for the design and construction for expansion of the concrete helicopter parking ramp at Fort Drum, NY. Project demolishes an existing concrete landing pad (approximately 1,455 SY), removes existing apron asphalt shoulder and edge lighting, constructs 8 additional concrete helicopter parking spaces (approx. 30,000 SY), installs new 25 ft-wide asphalt shoulder and edge lighting along the new parking spaces perimeter, installs new airfield pavement markings connected to the existing parking apron, installs parking space mooring and grounding points, installs airfield pavement joints and sealant, replaces surface utility access covers with airfield rated ones or relocates them, and installs a storm water infiltration basin with NYS hotspot pre-treatment. Project will follow airfield pavement design and construction UFCs and the guidance detailed in the Sustainable Design and Development Policy.
