- This potential opportunity is for: Remove Carpet � 1,182 SY Remove Existing Base � 1,618 LF Move Standard Furniture � 1,020 SY 4-Inch Rubber Base � 1,779.80 LF LVT � J&J 5MM � 1,455 SF AMENDMENT 0001: NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS� Mandatory Sources: MANDATORY USE Effective October 1, 2017, there is a Mandatory Use Policy for Air Force Carpet Acquisitions which mandates carpet purchases. The Installer/Contractor must choose one of the four carpet selections listed above and negotiate with the carpet vendors listed. Once the negotiation is complete, the installer/contractor shall provide a quote to 1 Special Operations Contracting Squadron (1 SOCONS) that includes the price for the carpet and adhesives. A statement from the installer/contractor confirming and validating that prices are at or below the NTE prices set in the Tier I Contracts must be submitted with their quote.
