The stretchers listed will enter end of lift cycle FY2022. Proposing to replace with an upgraded motorized stretcher, that has advanced mobility which virtually eliminates manual pushing. BIG Wheel reduces the start-up push force and steering. Hydraulic pedal eliminates manual pumping, allowing quick patient access and employee safety. It is equipped with a ""two-zone"" alarm which detects patient exist, thus reducing the chance for falls. Stretcher has an integrated scale and 700lb. weight capacity. Objectives: These Stryker PRIME Zoom or Equal Stretchers are being purchased due to the End of Lifetime frame. This stretcher has the ability to transfer to a recovery position. Glide-away side rails eliminate the gap between stretcher and bed, during patient transfers. Employee safety is promoted with the ability for manual transport. The facility staff trialed the stretcher for 2 weeks and found it comfortable, safe, and easy to use. As patients are transported frequently through-out the hospital, the fully powered drive mechanism is a plus for employees. The Zoom drive reduces the strain and risk of injury associated with transporting patients. With the weight capacity being 700lbs, bariatric patients can also be transported with ease. A built-in scale assists caregiver in obtaining weights at the time of transfer. The retractable cord decreases the risk of employee and patient falls/injury.
