- This is a request for information ONLY. No solicitation will be issued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is investigating the market capability to provide two (2) Boilers to the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Please see product description below. Responses to this Sources Sought shall be provided as described herein. Interested parties shall submit responses in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, or Adobe Acrobat. Responses shall be limited to 10 pages with Arial font greater than or equal to 12 pt. Company Information 1. Please ensure the Subject Line Contains the following:� Sources Sought PBA Boilers. This is a request for information ONLY. No solicitation will be issued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. Product Description: The contractor shall furnish all, parts, kits, trim, components (valves, controls, fittings, etc.), subparts and equipment necessary to seamlessly install the new package unit to resume steam operations. A complete package unit to provide the steam output and redundancy needs will include two 150 horsepower steam boilers with integrated controls, a feed water system, automatic skimmer, water softeners, chemical feed injection points, and blowdown separators. The components and equipment shall be a newly manufactured, not be used, refurbished or previously used for demonstration. Two (2) Boilers with the following minimum specifications shall be delivered to PBA: Natural Gas Fire-Tube Steam Boilers. Boilers shall be full scotch marine type with a water-backed furnace. Positive Displacement Feedwater Pump with Variable Speed Drive. Feedwater System shall include a preheat section for increased boiler efficiency. 150 hp 5,175 lb/hr steam output 150 psi design pressure 750 sq. ft. heating surface area 848 gallon steam water capacity 480 volt, 60 hz, 3 phase electrical Condensate Return Boiler tubes shall be in the horizontal configuration for the ease of maintenance, installation space, and future repairs. Linkage Style Controls Package shall include all non-return valves and steam stops. The boiler shall be inspected by authorized inspector and be registered with the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.� The package boiler shall carry the Underwriters Laboratory label �B�, and the boiler-burner unit shall meet the requirements of (U.L. or F.M. or I.R.I.).� I.R.I. is now GE Capitol. Contractor shall provide a factory representative for initial startup and tuning, as well as basic operator startup training within 14 days of notification that PBA has completed installation of the unit. All standard information on the equipment, including but not limited to User Manuals, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals, Material and Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), troubleshooting guides and any other applicable documentation, shall be provided upon delivery of the systems. The boilers shall meet American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) design requirements. All necessary equipment, parts, components and subparts shall be furnished for PBA to seamlessly install and start-up the boiler system. Boiler unit shall comply with ASME, CSD-1, UL, and NEMA standards. The entire systems shall include at least a one (1) year from date of acceptance parts and labor warranty.
