Description

The Commander Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC) Procurement Group, Patuxent River, MD hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to Hunt Valve Company, Inc., 1913 E State Street, Salem, OH 44460 (Cage Code: 34889) on a sole source basis in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.501(a)(2)(i). Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA), Voyage Repair Team (VRT), Norfolk, VA has a requirement to procure the overhaul of two LSO actuators onboard the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77). �Hunt Valve Company, Inc. is the only vendor with the equipment/mechanical capabilities to perform open, inspect, and overhaul of VMA LSO actuators. �The results of market research indicate no vendor other than Hunt Valve Company, Inc. is able to meet the Government�s specific requirements. �For this reason, the Government intends to procure the overhaul services on a sole source basis from Hunt Valve Company, Inc. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within three (3) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered. � Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. �A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
