Description
This is a notice of intent to award a sole source contract and is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs on behalf of Syracuse VA Medical Center intend to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP), sole source action to a verified veteran owned small business (VOSB). This action is in compliance with FAR Part 8, federal supply schedules and authorized by the Veterans Affairs Acquisitions Regulations (VAAR) 819.7008, Sole source awards to a verified veteran-owned small business. Name of Contractor: AcuStaf Development Corp Street Address: 4300 MarketPointe DR, STE 240 City, State, Zip: Bloomington, MN 55435 The objective of this procurement is AcuStaf brand specific nurse call scheduling software, implementation of and staff training. The anticipated action will be a firm fixed price delivery order for one year, with four, one year option periods. This action is limited to AcuStaf brand software due to a standardization mandate. Other scheduling options and software were considered but failed to either meet the technology requirements, compatibility with existing VA systems, latency issues similar to what staff is currently experiencing, or were dependent on technology the VA currently has not implemented (Cerner). This notice of intent to sole source with justification for brand name only satisfies the public posting requirements of FAR 8.405-6 and VAAR 819.7008. NAICS code 541519 for value added retailers will be used for this action. No other brands or products shall be considered for this requirement. The Veterans Health Administration prohibits the use of gray market items in their Medical Centers. Gray market items are considered to be items outside of the original equipment manufacturer s intended distribution channels. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. All capability statements must be received by no later than 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time on August 29, 2022.
