Description
The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price contract to AlterG, INC. for commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) AlterG VIAX Anti-Gravity Treadmill. The contract will consist of a delivery date of 11/01/2022. AlterG, INC. is the only source available to provide the only anti-gravity treadmill on the market that utilizes the NASA differential Air Pressure (DPA) technology. This is a precise air calibration system that provides a uniform gravitational load based on each patient's calculated body weight. This is especially important when we work with patients that have strict limitations on weight bearing status and also important when finding a patient's appropriate weightbearing tolerance with walking and/or running. Competitor antigravity treadmills utilize their system's height adjustment and the patient's shorts size to determine the amount of air pressure need; this is problematic given you can have two patients of the same height and shorts size but significant weight differences. The Alter G Treadmill is therefore the standard necessary at our clinic to promote safe and effective patient care and recovery. The total estimated value is $41,588.52. Market research has determined that AlterG, INC. has a strategically sourced Federal Supply Schedule contract GS-03F-031DA for VIAX Anti-Gravity Treadmill which is valid through 12/15/2025. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is not a request for quote or proposals. Questions or comments to this Notice of Intent should be directed to Contract Specialist, Lisa C. Wilk at lisa.c.wilk.civ@mail.mil. Please indicate in the subject of your email: Notice of Intent Question Submission 11825755.
