- Description
- The purpose of this announcement is to identify firms that possess both the capability and experience to provide services that meet the Government's requirement. This Sources Sought Notice does not constitute a Request for Quote or Proposals (RFQ or RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. No solicitation currently exists; therefore, DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION. There is no assurance a solicitation will result from this notice. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized at FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov). It is the firm's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The Regional Health Contracting Office is seeking firms that possess the ability to provide temporomandibular joint (TMJ) implants custom-fitted to each patient for the Department of Operative Services at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC), JBSA - Fort Sam Houston TX. Per www.oralsurgery-implants.com, the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the hinge joint that connects the lower jaw (mandible) to the temporal bone of the skull, which is immediately in front of the ear on each side of your head. The joints are flexible, allowing the jaw to move smoothly up and down and side to side and enabling you to talk, chew, and yawn. Patients that require a replacement TMJ generally have severe, late-stage degenerative changes within the jaw/mandibular bone. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. If your firm is interested in this potential requirement, please indicate your interest by sending an email no later than August 29, 2022, 04:00 pm Central Standard Time to Mrs. Ivette Jefferson (Ivette.y.Jefferson.civ@mail.mil). The e-mail should contain the following subject line: Sources Sought, Temporomandibular Joint Implants. Use of any other subject line may delay your entry. All e-mail responses from prospective sources must provide the company name, mailing address, telephone number, point of contact and return e-mail address within the body of their response. A narrative detailing your firm's experience and capabilities (both technical and geographic), not to exceed five (5) pages, is also requested. In addition, please provide a list of customers (Government/non-Government) within the past five (5) years highlighting similar work performed.
