- Can you confirm the approximate quantities of each type of linen and laundry to be processed per location listed in the RFQ? Answer: Here are the estimated quantities of linen types for ALL locations * Special Handling Items: Patient Slings, Mops, Microfiber Towels, Scrubs, Pool Towels, Poncho, Female Pajamas, Fisher House Linen, Hypo Packs, Cold Packs. 2. Given this is a rental program for the linen, we would be replacing any worn/torn/missing/damage items by piece not by pound. Can you modify this to a per piece rather than a per pound CLINS. Would you be open to us providing a per piece rate? Answer: Yes. The replacement is per piece Rental Items: Vendor replaces the damaged item by piece VA Own items: No replacement. Vendor just returns the washed items. 3. How many pounds of linen and laundry was processed last year (clean vs soiled). Answer: See question 1 Only clean delivered linen and laundry quantities are reported 4. How accurate are the pounds listed in the CLINS to be quoted? Is this based on a year volume? Please confirm what the estimate is based on. Answer The estimated pounds & types listed in the CLINS comes from the invoices It is based on one year volume from 1/1/2021 to 12/31/2021 5. Some of the facilities is a 7 day pick-up. Can we propose a different schedule such as 5 or 6 day pick-up? Answer: NO. Our Palo Alto and Menlo Park campus locations require 7 day pick-up 6. When do you anticipate an award decision Answer: 1 Oct 2022 7, Is the ALM certification required for the CM? Answer: ALM (Associate Linen Management) certification are required for VA Textile Manager/Supervisor. CM (Contractor Manager???) should be certified too 8. Is there a small business subcontract plan required since this is an unrestricted opportunity? Answer: No 9. Would we have an opportunity to bid on the locations to be descoped? Answer: That will be handled by a different Contracting Officer for a different contract. 10. What is the total quantities to be descoped as a result of the facility locations that will be removed from the contract? Answer: Possible Modesto and Stockton locations are removed from the contract later Estimated total quantiles of Annual Rental and Laundry service:
