Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12405B22Q0476 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The NAICS code is 334516 � Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing. This solicitation document incorporates those provision and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2022-06.� Any quotes not meeting the minimum specifications will not be considered.� UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH SERVICE SUGARCANE FIELD STATION SPECIFICATIONS Oxidation stability tester instrument FY22 Introduction: Scientists at the USDA-ARS Southern Regional Research Center are developing cottonseed-based food products.� The oxidation stability tester will provide the ability to the oxidation stability of the raw materials and products, such as, cottonseed kernels, meal, protein, and peanut butter spread. Scope:� The Contractor shall provide an automatic Stand-alone instruments tester instrument that will measure typically 5 mL (or 4 g) of samples. � Technical Requirements:� 1 oxidation stability tester.� Specifications:� Measurements should be according to ASTM D8206.� Broad range of measurable samples � from liquids to solids.� The Range of Measurement is Up to 180 �C. �Safety requirements of Screw cap cover, safety and insulation hood, over-temperature and over-pressure shut-off.� AC 220 V - 240 V, 50/60 Hz AC 100 V - 120 V, 50/60 Hz.� Airborne noise emission < 57 dB. Pressure range Up to 1800 kPa during measurement, filling pressure up to 700 kPa.� Live values display for pressure, temperature, and pressure/time curve. Interface include 1 � USB at the front/right side,1 � USB at the back of the instrument and 1 � LAN. This should be a new device with appropriate warranties.� Any device that does not meet the above requirements will be rejected.� Delivery should be through USPS, Fed Ex, or UPS.
