Amendment 2: This amendment replaces an attachment (Instructions and Evaluation Criteria - Basis of Award) as the original attachment did not belong to this solicitation. Please review the revised attachment (Rev 1 - Instructions and Evalation Criteria - Basis for Award) for proper submission details and requirements. The RFQ and Requirements and Specifications document are unchanged. Due to the error, the quote submission period is extended to 10:00 am (MT) on August 31, 2022. All quotes shall be sent to the Contract Specialist, Aaron Ritter, at aaron.ritter@nist.gov.� Vendors who have already submitted quote are encouraged to review the revised instructions and are allowed to submit revised quotes up until the posted deadline. Any questions should be sent electronically at aaron.ritter@nist.gov. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amendment 1: This amendment extends the quote submission deadline to Friday, August 26, 2022 at 10am (MT). All other documents, requirements and instruction remain in effect. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number NB733050-22-02471 is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) conducted under the authority of FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This RFQ, incorporated provisions, and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2022-07. The associated NAICS 333997 code has a small business size standard of 500 employees. This is requirement is for Full and Open competition. The National Institute of Standards and Technology's Fire Fighting Technology Group requires two (2) High Precision Platform Scales and two (2) Weighing Terminals to support experiments involving solid fuels. The purpose of the high precision platform scale is to measure the weight change over time of burning solid fuel. This measurement is crucial for determining solid heat release rate and requires high accuracy and precision. All quoted items must meet all requirements listed in the Requirements and Specifications document. Date(s) and place(S) of delivery and acceptance and FOB point are required in accordance with the attached RFQ and specification document. The Government will award a firm fixed price purchase order resulting from the responsible offeror whose quotation conforming to the requirement of the solicitation represents the BEST VALUE to the Government considering the Government's evaluation factors provided in the attached Addenda. See attached Instructions and Evaluation Criteria, and Basis for Ward. Quotes shall be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist, Aaron Ritter, at aaron.ritter@nist.gov�no later than the specified time in this RFQ.
