- W52P1J-15-D-0005 Synopsis: SOURCES SOUGHT FOR A POTENTIAL REQUIREMENT FOR THE PRODUCTION, AND SUSTAINMENT OF GENERATION II (GEN II) ANTI-SCINTILLATION/ANTI-JAM (AS/AJ) MODEMS. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED SOLELY FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) OR A PROMISE TO ISSUE A RFP IN THE FUTURE. THE INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THIS NOTICE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND IS NOT BINDING ON THE GOVERNMENT. 1.0� Purpose: Product Manager Wideband Enterprise Satellite Systems (PdM WESS), Fort Belvoir, Virginia, is seeking information from large and small businesses (including the following subsets: Small Disadvantaged Businesses, Certified 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, HUBZone Small Businesses and Woman Owned Small Businesses) to provide the required products and services. 2.0 Required Capabilities PdM WESS is seeking information from potential offerors for the contemplated Production of GEN II Anti-Scintillation/Anti-Jam (AS/AJ) Modems, and their sustainment support. The required Gen II AS/AJ Modems are components of the Protected Anti-Scintillation Anti-Jam Wideband Net-Centric System (PAAWNS). The PAAWNS, which is primarily intended to support the protected (anti-scintillation and anti-jamming) satellite communications (SATCOM) needs of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA), is deployed to Department of Defense (DoD) SATCOM facilities worldwide as well as to MDA deployed locations with transportable SATCOM terminals. This production acquisition pertains to the PAAWNS AS/AJ Modem component only. �PdM WESS is tentatively planning to acquire up to 40 GEN II AS/AJ Modems in support of the MDA mission to provide protected communication for the US Government.� The required Generation II AS/AJ Modems are currently supplied by the L3Harris Corporation, Melbourne, FL. The Government does not own the drawings and software documentation for this equipment and certain Generation II AS/AJ Modem components are proprietary to the L3Harris Corporation. The Government tentatively plans to issue a solicitation for the following: Production of the Generation II AS/AJ Modem Part Number A3384694 Production of RF Module Assembly Part Number A3384690-1 Produce KGV-91 Part Number (0N856710) Provide sustainment for Generation II AS/AJ Modem, RF Module Assembly, and KGV-91. � The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 811213:�Communication Equipment Repair and Maintenance.
