Description
This is a Request for Information (RFI) only. This is not a solicitation announcement, nor is it a Request for Quote (RFQ). This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District (LRP), is conducting market research for the acquisition of Medical Surveillance/Occupational Health services. It is anticipated that the results of this market research will support the development of an RFQ for the requirement. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. Response to this RFI is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firms ability to submit a quote if and when a solicitation is issued. The anticipated requirement is for Medical Surveillance services for deployment physicals, occupation-specific fitness-for-duty evaluations for maintenance mechanics/lock operators, crane operators and divers as well as deployment immunizations. The projected period of performance is one (1) base year and four (4) option years. Quantities of physicals/tests will vary from year-to-year based on the required frequency of testing, employee turnover and identification of workplace exposure to various hazards. The required suite of services will vary according to the type of evaluation, but are anticipated to include physical histories, physicals, vision, audiograms, EKGs, chest x-rays, B-reader for CXR, blood chemistry panel and CBC, Urinalysis (other than drug testing), pulmonary function test and immunizations. LRP employees work at 41 sites in Western PA, Northern WV and Eastern OH. The District will consider both ambulatory and traditional brick-and-mortar service providers. In the case of a brick-and-mortar provider, a footprint of physicians offices or clinics within a 50-mile radius of all LRP sites is desirable. The District may consider a centrally-located service provider without a 50-mile radius footprint of all 41 sites or a service provider with brick-and-mortar offices or clinics within 50 miles of Pittsburgh, PA; Steubenville, OH; Youngstown, OH; Wheeling, WV; and Morgantown WV metropolitan areas. If interested in this business opportunity, please respond to this SSN with a POC, POC contact information and whether or not your firm is a small business under NAICS 621111 with a small business size standard of $14,000,000.
