Description
Scope of Work The contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, materials, tools, and other incidentals necessary to perform various soil stabilization tasks on the Osceola National Forest transportation system This Performance Work Statement (PWS) consists of completing the tasks and subtasks in Part V Section 5.10 to the quality assurance standards/requirements of Part VII. Required soil stabilization work is intermittent depending on the needs of the Government. STABILIZATION ROADWAY RECONDITIONING (STATIONING) The contractor shall provide all necessary equipment, labor, material, tools, and other incidentals required to perform the following tasks:� SUBTASK 5.10.1 Stabilization Ditch Reconditioning� SUBTASK 5.10.2 Stabilization Shoulder Reconditioning. SUBTASK 5.10.3 Stabilization Roadbed Reconditioning SUBTASK 5.10.4 Stabilization Aggregate Surface Reconditioning SUBTASK 5.10.1 Stabilization Ditch Reconditioning. Remove slide material, sediment, vegetation, and other debris from existing ditches and culvert inlets/outlets. Reshape ditches and culvert inlets/outlets to achieve positive drainage and uniform ditch width, depth, and grade. Dispose of waste at designated sites. All wing, lead-off, and percolation ditches are included. SUBTASK 5.10.2 Stabilization Shoulder Reconditioning. Remove slide material, vegetation, and other debris from existing shoulders including shoulders in parking areas, turnouts, and other widened areas. Repair soft and unstable areas. Reshape shoulders to the widths and slopes shown in the plans. Dispose of waste at designated sites.� SUBTASK 5.10.3 Stabilization Roadbed Reconditioning. Remove organic, deleterious, vegetation, and material larger than 6 inches (150 millimeters) from the top 6 inches (150 millimeters) of subgrade. Dispose of waste. Repair soft and unstable areas. Scarify surface to a 6-inch (150-millimeter) depth. Remove irregularities and shape to a uniform surface. Finish earth surfaces to within 0.05 feet (15 millimeters) and rock surfaces to within 0.10 feet (30 millimeters) of required line, grade, and cross-section with compaction. SUBTASK 5.10.4 Stabilization Surface Reconditioning. Repair soft and unstable areas to the full�� surface depth. Scarify the thickness of surfacing material or to 6 inches (150 millimeters), whichever is less. Remove irregularities and shape to a uniform surface. Finish and compact the surface.� The contractor shall perform Stabilization Roadway Reconditioning (Stationing) in accordance with the quality assurance requirements/standards in Part VII. Location: Forest Service Roads located on the Osceola National Forest. The District�s Office is located on US Highway 90, approximately 1.5 miles west of Olustee and approximatley 7.5 miles east of the Lake City Municipal Airport.
