- Intent to Negotiate a Sole Source:��Nation-wide Medical Services For Inmates Residing in Residential Reentry Centers or On Home Confinement Classification Product Service Code: Q201 Medical - General Health Care NAICS Code: 622110 Size Standard: 41,500,000 Description The Bureau of Prisons intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, one (1) year, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, firm fixed priced contract for a nationwide health care delivery system that will continue to provide health care services while competitively soliciting a long-term contract. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Responsible Concerns interested in providing a proposal for a solicitation of asimilar requirement for a long-term contract should monitor SAM.gov and contact Laurence Faytaren, Senior Contract Specialist, at lfaytaren@bop.gov. Inquiries regarding this Intent to Negotiate a Sole Source Notice should be directed to Donna Grube, Contracting Officer, by email to dgrube@bop.gov ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The one (1) year sole source contract will be awarded to NaphCare, Inc., 2090 Columbiana Road, Suite 4000, Birmingham, Alabama 35216-2158. The scope of the contract is limited to services for prisoners located in residential reentry centers, jails or on home confinement nation-wide, including Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. Period of Performance is October 01, 2022 through September 30, 2023. OUTPUT #1: Provide inpatient and outpatient facility and professional medical services to include pharmaceutical services, emergency dental care, inpatient mental health and optometry with Medicaid Glasses which conform to community standards and all local, state and Federal laws and regulations applicable to the delivery of health care to members of the general public to those RRMB inmates located across the United States (including Hawaii and Puerto Rico) OUTPUT #2: Develop and implement a managed care approach which provides each RRMB inmate with sufficient identification to facilitate the authorization and delivery of health care services to include pharmacy within the contractor�s network of care providers. OUTPUT #3: Responsibility as Payor only; Billing of state and local outside medical care for RRMB inmates and submitting of properly priced invoices for services rendered. OUTPUT #4: Manage medical record information in a manner which promotes continuity of care while observing restrictions on the release of information. OUTPUT #5: Maintain open avenues of communication, facilitating the exchange of information between the contract provider, contract facility, and the Government regarding the contract services. OUTPUT #6: Provide monthly reports to capture statistical data to ensure the contract is operating in an efficient and effective manner which supports the mission. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES.�Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 16:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Friday, September 9, 2022. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government�s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
