Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking firms that can provide architect and engineering services in Dearborn, Michigan in accordance with the Scope of Work as follows: USACE Detroit District is seeking A-E Services to design a 29-acre watershed detention basin with an inlet diversion structure and fixed crest weir outlet structure to reduce damages caused by recurring flooding in the Dearborn Heights area.� The project is located at the northeast corner of Powers Avenue and Inkster Road in Dearborn Heights, MI. Scope of Work includes but is not limited to:� Data collection (Geotechnical Sampling/analysis, Chemical Sampling/analysis, wetland delineation, topographic survey), hydraulic modeling utilizing the most current version of HEC-RAS, Design Documentation Report development, Plans and Specifications development, Construction Cost Estimate development, Value Engineering, Permit Support and Pre-award activities. The estimated cost of this AE design project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The estimated cost of the construction project to be designed is more than $10M. This Sources Sought announcement is for planning and market research purposes only and is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to this Sources Sought Notice. The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any cost associated with the submission of responses or comments. Interested and qualitied companies are encouraged to respond. The contractor will provide complete design for the subject project according to the scope of work provided with an estimated start date of April 2023 and period of performance for the work estimated to be 18 months from the date of award. The contract is anticipated to be solicited around the end of November 2022. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 541330, which has a small business size standard of $16.5 million. The responses received to this notice shall be in summary format and shall not exceed five (5) pages, including the Sources Sought Information Form. In order for the Government to determine the extent of industry interest and experience in the project, interested contractors shall complete the information attached to this advertisement as a Word Document, Sources Sought Information Form in order to be considered for this sources sought notice.
