Description
DoDEA is researching the possibility of instituting a Multiple Bell schedule for school start and end times for the following locations: Lakenheath Kaiserslautern Military Community Wiesbaden Baumholder Aviano Rota Each location will be assessed to determine when and if this change will start. This schedule change will not be implemented before School Year 2023-2024. This RFI will help determine the feasibility of a Multiple Bell schedule by local, non-USG sources. An example of a Multiple Bell schedule is: AM Run First: Pick up High School Students Only and unload at school by 0800 daily (Mon Fri) Second: Pick up Middle and Elementary School Students Only and unload at school by 0900 daily (Mon Fri) PM Run First: 1400 daily (Mon Fri) pick up High School Students Only at school and unload at designated bus stops Second: 1500 daily (Mon Fri) pick up Middle and Elementary School Students Only at school and unload at designated bus stops (Note: the stop times and locations are examples and not the actual timeline that we will propose using. The USG are anticipating using up to one and a half hours between the first and second bells.) The desired outcome of the Multi Bell schedule would be to pick up and drop off students attending several schools at different times. The goal is to decrease the total amounts of busses and drivers necessary, with the assumption that the same buses would be used to make multiple (First and Second) runs. As such, your response/input is vital to this Research; therefore, I would greatly appreciate you taking the time to address the following request for information (RFI) sought questions: a. Would your company be able to perform services under a Multiple Bell schedule? b. Do you believe a Multiple Bell schedule will reduce the number of buses and drivers required at these locations? c. Do you forsee any challenges or limitations with this schedule in your respective locations? Please reply with your companys response to the undersigned at colleen.pritchard@dodea.edu, no later than Monday, 12 September, 2022.
