- Description
- The purpose of this solicitation amendment is to answer questions provided by industry. Question 1. We would like to inquire approximately how many of these proceedings will require on-site court reporters? Answer 1. Most of the court reporting sessions from the past 2 years were virtual due to the Pandemic. There have been a few requirements where on-site reporting was requested and performed. In addition, there have been some situations where the court reporting was performed virtually while the witnesses, arbitrators, etc. have been on-site. There is no official stance from the agency whether the services are going back to feature more predominately on-site requirements after the pandemic. Our best guess is that there will be up to a 60/40 split between virtual/on-site after the pandemic is lifted. There is no way to accurately predict the frequency of onsite vs. virtual. Currently we are at a 90/10 split between virtual/on-site. Ultimately, it is up to the requesting attorney, Chair, or Judge to make the determination whether the court reporter shall be on-site or perform virtually.
