- Description
- This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institute of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), intends to solicit a quote and enter into firm-fixed price to purchase TissueLyser II, with QIAGEN INC. The ability to evaluate genetic changes will help identify and validate targets for regenerative medicine treatment strategies as well as drug delivery and ligand design. LDRR wants to further PET, CT, and/or MRI results with valuable genetic data. Currently, LDRR does not have a tissue homogenizer with temperature regulation to allow processing of tissue for RNA extraction and Real-Time qPCR analysis. Purchase of this equipment will permit LDRR to successful extract RNA with high quality (RIN > 7) and quantity (> 300 ng), which will ensure reliable and reproducible results. Ultimately, this will provide LDRR the opportunity to complete more sophisticated research and publish more peer reviewed research articles. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date, September 09, 2022 at 12:00 PM EST specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Noelle DeCenzo, Contract Specialist, Noelle.decenzo@nih.gov by the due date and time marked in this notice.
