THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO MTI-MILLIREN TECHNOLOGIES, IN CORPORATED. This synopsis is being posted to System for Award Management (SAM) located at http://www.sam.gov/. SAM is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use the SAM site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. ITEM DESCRIPTION: Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for the procurement of up to 145 units of the Reference Module Shop Replaceable Assembly (SRA) (MTI�Milliren PIN SMF-0126 in accordance with Northrop Grumman Specification 828R510) utilized in the WRA-7 Processor Unit and in support of Domestic ASE Upgrades, FMS ASE Upgrades, Spares, Depot Lay-In Material, and Laboratory Assets. This contract will be issued as an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) sole source procurement with an ordering period of five-years for the manufacture and delivery of MTI-Milliren PIN SMF-0126 Reference Modules. The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source, MTI-Milliren Technologies, Incorporated Two New Pasture Road, Newburyport, MA 0 1950-4054, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source. The requirement is being solicited on a sole source basis because MTI-Milliren Technologies, Incorporated is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of these Reference Modules. The Government does not currently possess a TDP that would allow for competition of the Reference Module SRAs as MTI�Milliren Technologies, Incorporated has asserted proprietary data rights. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this solicitation is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of re-evaluating the justification for sole source or limitation of sources and making a determination to change the acquisition strategy to a competitive procurement. The Solicitation and amendments for this sole source action will not be posted to sam.gov and are available only from the POC identified below. So hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Inspection and Acceptance shall be at Destination by NSWC Crane personnel. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to NSWC Crane Division, 300 Highway 361, Crane, IN 47522. All contractors must be properly registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
