Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ), on behalf of the Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), Boston Field Office intends to award a fixed-price contract on a sole source basis to Signet Technologies, Inc. DBA Convergint Federal (physical address: 12300 Kiln CT STE E, Beltsville, Maryland 20705-1311, United States; Unique Entity ID: JHBXPMMAESY3; and Cage Code: 4A8Z7).� The ERO Boston Field Office facility in St. Albans, Vermont (VT) requires security system maintenance in accordance with the Statement of Work. �The �Milestone� security system installed at this facility is a proprietary system and can only be maintained by the parent company or an approved distributor that possesses certification from the parent company.� There is only one responsible source, and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement.� Convergint Federal is an approved distributor of the security system, can perform the required maintenance and is the only source that services this region.� No other provider can meet the requirements for security system maintenance service at this facility.� These services will be acquired in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures.� The period of performance of the anticipated purchase order will be for a total of 60 months (inclusive of one (1) 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods. This notice is NOT a request for proposals or quotes.� This is a notice of the Government�s intent to issue a sole source award to Convergint Federal for the required maintenance services.� Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to fulfill this requirement by responding to this Notice of Intent no later than the closing date of this notice by email to John.Kurtz@ice.dhs.gov; no telephone communications will be entertained. The subject line in the email shall state �Response to Notice of Intent � Security System Maintenance, St. Albans, VT.� All information submitted should support the offeror�s capability to provide the required items and shall be furnished at no cost to the Government. The Government reserves the right to cancel the sole source award. The anticipated primary North American Classification Systems (NAICS) 561621 - Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths).
