- THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE The solicitation will be set aside for Small Business PROJECT NUMBER:� CA ERFO PLUMAS NF 23N18(1) PROJECT NAME: ��FRAZIER CREEK BRIDGE PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND LOCATION:� The Plumas National Forest (PNF) sustained significant damage to transportation facilities, including bridges during the 2020 fire season. The US Forest Service (FS) is requesting that the Central Federal Lands Highway Division (CFLHD) perform engineering and construction services to replace the Frazier Creek Bridge structure utilizing Emergency Repair for Federally Owned Roads (ERFO) and Forest Service funds. The project site is located approximately 26 miles southeast of Quincy, CA and 45 miles northeast of Oroville, CA on Forest Service Route 23N18 within Plumas National Forest in Plumas County, CA. The original bridge was a one-lane, two-way traffic single span structure at 0 degrees skew.� It has an overall bridge length of 36 feet, roadway width (curb to curb) of 18 ft, and deck width (outside to outside) of 19.5 ft. � SCOPE OF THE WORK: The purpose of the project is to replace the Frazier Creek Bridge in Plumas National Forest in Plumas County, California.� The bridge was completely damaged by fire in 2020 and will be fully replaced with a prefabricated steel bridge. A one-lane, 54-ft x 20-ft proposed structure is anticipated. The roadway approaches will be reconstructed for up to 150 feet on either end of the bridges. The bridge and a short section of the roadway approaches will be asphalt overlaid to reduce sediment from reaching the stream. Bridge rail and guardrail with terminals will be included. Items worth noting: The work will be listed within a single Schedule (Schedule A) and no options are proposed. Adjacent segments of Forest Route 23N18 will remain closed during construction and can be used for contractor staging and storage.� Access is to both sides of the bridge is possible by an approximate 20-mile detour.
