Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command- New Jersey (ACC-NJ) on behalf of the U.S Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) � Armaments Center at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ intends to solicit, negotiate and award a firm fixed price contract to The Baird Machinery Corporation, 171 River Street Thomaston, CT 06787 for the purchase, delivery and installation of one (1) US Baird Transfer Press, Model #3L-25 and one (1) twelve (12) station master die set. The Baird Machinery Corporation is a Women Owned Small Business and the only domestic manufacturer and supplier of Baird equipment and does not have any authorized resellers in the U.S. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, or proposal, which shall be considered by the Government. The Authority for this procurement comes under 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501(a)(1)(ii), sole source (including brand name) under the authority of the simplified procedures for certain commercial items. The applicable NAICS code for this effort is 333517, the small business size standard is 500 employees and the PSC Code is 3443. A Sole Source Justification was approved 13 September 2022 explaining that The Baird Machinery Corporation is the only source capable of providing the required equipment.
