Currently, uncleared visitors of OSA and SCIF areas within B848 require their escort to verbally announce their presence. The installation of beacon lights will provide visual indication to building personnel that a visitor is present. This requirement is not military unique. The Government is altering real property under this requirement and as such falls under FAR 36 Construction and is not considered a commercial service. The beacon lighting will be installed IAW applicable National Electric Code and Unified Facilities Criteria. There are no known environmental regulations or product certification requirements or no known unique aspects of the acquisition which must be obtained in order to manufacture, produce or distribute the product or service.
