Description
DON NAVSUP WSS (N74) Request for Information (RFI): This announcement constitutes a Request for Information (RFI) for informational and planning purposes only. NAVSUP WSS is seeking information from the industry to assist with acquisition planning for a five year multiple award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for various items that fall under the L1/Sub-Safe Program. The Mission of NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) is to provide Navy, Marine Corps, Joint and Allied Forces program and supply support for the weapon systems that keep our Naval forces MISSION READY. Contracting Squad N74, which supports Level 1 Sub-Safe requirements is requesting information from the top suppliers in the industry on the below areas of focus: Your interest or ability to participate in a multiple award long term contract (five years) which would reduce the number of redundant short term purchase orders, and stream line the procurement process. A long term contract would allow the government to issue orders for the requirement each time the specific quantity and delivery dates are known. It is faster and easier to award orders then to solicit and award separate purchase orders, as well as building a strong relationship with a knowledgeable vendor base. Are there any industry best practices or suggestions you can provide with the current quote submission process to reduce the time to submit a quote, reduce the acquisition lead time and eliminate the number of technical questions received? Any resultant solicitation will be released to Contract Opportunities via beta.SAM.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Please direct any questions to tiana.hammaker@navy.mil . Your response is requested by 15 October 2022.Responses shall be submitted via e-mail only. DISCLAIMER: This RFI is for information purposes only. This is not a request for proposal. It does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement. Any information submitted by respondent is strictly voluntary.
