- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Hologic Inc. for reagents for the Reagents and Consumables for the Panther Fusion System to be delivered to the Hampton VA Medical Center P&LMS, located at 100 Emancipation Drive, Hampton VA 23667. This contract action is for products and services for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405.6 Only One Source. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 325413 (In-Virto Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS The Department of Veterans Affairs, Hampton VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price, single source delivery order to Hologic Inc. The purpose of the order is to obtain reagents and consumables to be used by facility Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Services in correlation with the Panther Fusion Analyzer to perform its diagnostic testing. Order to include the following reagents: P/N: PRD-03565: Aptima HIV-1 Quant, US IVD Kit (100 Tests) P/N: PRD-03705: Aptima HCV Quant Dx Assay Kit (100 Test) P/N: 303570: Aptima HPV Assay Kit (100 Test) P/N: 301154C Aptima Specimen Transfer Kit (LPT) (100 Test) P/N: 303010: Aptima HPV Calibrator Kit P/N: 303011: Aptima HPV Controls Kit P/N: 303236-CPR: Aptima HPV 16 18/45 Genotype Assy, Cost Per Reportable P/N: PRD-06419: SARS-CoV-2 Assay kit, EUA (250 Tests) P/N: PRD-06420: Aptima SARS-CoV Assay Controls (5 per box) P/N: PRD-04339 Fusion Specimen Lysis Tubes (100 per bag). P/N: PRD-06997: Hologic Direct Load Tube (100 per kit). Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 3:00 P.M., EST, on September 22, 2022, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification.
