Description
The Project Manager for Maneuver Ammunition Systems (PM-MAS), Picatinny Arsenal, NJ and the Army Contracting Command � NJ (ACC-NJ) are currently seeking sources for the manufacture and delivery of 5.56mm M1037 & 7.62mm M973 & M974 Short Range Training Ammunition (SRTA)� for the following DODICs: - 5.56mm M1037 SRTA, Linked, NSN 1305-01-651-5896, DODIC AC10 (Lead Free) - 5.56mm M1037 SRTA, Clipped, NSN 1305-01-582-7499, DODIC AB67 (Lead free) - 7.62mm SRTA M973 SRTA (Ball), NSN 1305-01-579-4056, DODIC AB60 - 7.62mm 4 SRTA M973 (Ball) 1 SRTA-T M974 (Tracer), NSN 1305-01-459-9535, DODIC AA37 The 5.56mm M1037 SRTA, linked, functions in the M249 Squad Automatic Weapon (SAW, both semi and automatic modes) without the need of a special training bolt or modification to the weapon systems. The 5.56mm M1037 SRTA, Clipped, is used with the M16A4 Rifle and M4 Carbine.� The 7.62mm, M973 (Ball)/M974 (Tracer) SRTA provides a realistic range training alternative to M80/M62 service ammunition and is used in the M240B Machine Guns. The 5.56mm Ball M1037, SRTA is manufactured in linked and clipped configurations using link, cartridge, and metallic belt M27 links. The 7.62mm M973 (Ball) and M974 (Tracer) SRTA are manufactured in a linked four (4) Ball to one (1) Tracer (4B:1T) configuration (AA37) as well as an all ball configuration (AB60) using link, cartridge, and metallic belt M13 links. Specifications:� The above cartridges shall be manufactured in accordance with performance specification MIL-PRF-71167C, Amendment 1 and performance specification MIL-PRF-32409.� A copy of the performance specifications may be obtained by written notice to the point of contact listed below.� The Performance Specifications are classified Distribution D (Authorized to the Department of Defense and DoD contractors only). Requests for the performance specifications shall be submitted in writing using AMSTA-AR Form 1350 Technical Data Request Questionnaire (attached) along with a signed DD 2345 Military Critical Technical Data Agreement form, and a fully executed Non-Disclosure and Non Use Agreement (attached). Offerors must be registered with the U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office to obtain a copy of the specifications and top drawings (The form can be accessed through the following website:� www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp).In order to provide the data to foreign subcontractors, offerors must apply for an export license. An offeror's delay in applying for DD 2345 certification or an export license will not be a basis to extend the closing date of any future request for proposal. Planned Acquisition:� A five (5) year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract (FY24-FY29) is contemplated for this acquisition with total quantities up to approximately 51.8M each of one or more of the described DODICs over the life of the contract. The Government anticipates making one award. Submission Information:� All responsible interested sources should submit their capabilities/qualification data. The respondent's capabilities information must demonstrate the ability to produce approximately 5.6M rounds of 5.56mm and 3M of 7.62mm annually. Information should be submitted via electronic mail only, no later than 30 days from the date of this notice. All responses should be submitted to Monika A.
